About Marston Events/Marston Robing

Marston Events Limited was established as a Robe Maker for academic dress and graduation gowns in April 2005 under the name Marston Robing. This reflected our initial focus on academic dress, particularly gown hire for ceremonies and graduations.

Very quickly we realised that portrait photography was an important part of ceremony services and this, along with selling ceremony tickets, to our range. Marston was the first true ceremony one-stop-shop.

Reliably offering this range of services combined with a relentless focus on innovation and improvement has meant that Marston has grown steadily, adding new clients year by year. In February 2020 we decided to change our company name to better reflect our focus on providing the range of ceremony services, hence we became Marston Events Limited.

Our key focus is on serving everyone that is part of the ceremony, what we call the “attendee experience”. This includes graduates at all levels, joining Members and Fellows, VIP’s, Honorary graduates, guests, ceremony organizers, client staff and helpers and our own staff. To us, everyone should have the best experience we can help to make.

We want to make everything as easy and pleasant as it can be: planning the event, ordering (online or otherwise) to event delivery on the day and post-ceremony actions such as selecting images , reviewing the event and then going again.

No matter how “on-line” or “e-commerce” our processes may be, Marston never forgets that ceremony service delivery always comes down to personal face-to-face interactions. These can be when registering at the ticket desk, collecting one’s gown and being dressed, having studio photographs taken and other moments. All these actions happen between people, individuals, and each and every one deserves to receive the best experience we can provide.

Our key points of contact with you will always be personal and handled by people, not chatbots or AI. Our Customer Care team is in-house and whether they are communicating with you by phone, email or on-line, they will always seek to serve you personally. For clients our in-house Client Account and Support team will respond openly, honestly and speedily to your enquiries and needs.
